Nowadays, the most commonly used type of insemination is when the mass-selected sperm is injected into the uterine cavity.

IVF carried through insemination method is performed either with husband’s or donor sperm.

Insemination is required in the following cases

  1. sexual dysfunction,
  2. cervical factor infertility caused when husband’s sperm becomes non-viable in genital tracts,
  3. low sperm quality,
  4. infertility of unknown origin (when the couple passed all the necessary tests, but the cause remains unknown)
  5. in cases when it is still early to turn to IVF or it is too expensive.

The child born by the method of insemination is genetically and in all other aspects related to his parents. If it is implemented by donor sperm, the child will bear half of the genetic donor.

Insemination cannot cause any damage to mother’s health.
